We’re registered with the UK data protection authority (the Information Commissioner’s Office or ICO) under reference number ZB243682.

We provide a personal information service (the “Service”) that will allow you to organise your finances so you can see your UK-based current accounts, credit cards and savings accounts ("Personal Accounts") from your banks and other financial institutions (your "Providers") in one clear view in our App. We do this by using technology to communicate with your Providers in a secure way. Refer to our Terms & Conditions for further details about the Service.

Your Personal Data

We (or third parties on our behalf) may collect your Personal Data using different methods:

  1. Direct interactions: Any Personal Data that you have provided to us either by filling in a form on our website / app / social channels or by performing any action on our website / app / social channels or by corresponding with us in person, by email, by chat, phone or by post
  2. Automated interactions: Any Personal Data that we may have automatically collected about your device, location, browsing behaviour and usage pattern
  3. Third parties: Any Personal Data that you have consented us to pull from your Personal Account Providers.

We (or third parties on our behalf) may collect and use any of the following categories of Personal Data about you:

  1. Account and Transactional Information: When you connect Personal Accounts to our Service, we may access, store and process your Account Information held by your account provider. Account Information includes, for example, your account details, account transaction information, account features and benefits and recurring payments. Additionally, we may access, store and process any enriched account transaction information e.g. merchant, category, location and recurrence pattern.
  2. Unique user reference: This is a unique reference which we assign to you when you sign up to use our Service.
  3. Additional Personal Information: Address, device details, location (if permission given), interaction tracking data and data customised by you (e.g. notes, tags, updated categories), supplementary information we may ask you from time to time (for example, employment status).
  4. Technical Information: Your IP address and general processing or monitoring data for performance and technical purposes
  5. Support Information & Testimonials: Messages or emails you send us as well as any reviews/comments you choose to provide to us about our Service.

Storage of your Personal Data

Your Personal Data is securely stored in Microsoft Azure cloud services within European Economic Area (EEA) in compliance with UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Your Personal Data may be securely accessed from outside the EEA by our staff or our Service Providers for the provision of the Service to you. By agreeing to our Service Terms and this Privacy Policy, you explicitly consent to this storage, access and processing.

A subset of your Personal Data may be transferred, stored and processed outside EEA by our Service Providers. However, whenever we transfer your Personal Data outside EEA, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is implemented:

  1. We will only transfer your Personal Data to countries that have been deemed by the UK ICO to have adequate data processing regulations.
  2. Where we use certain service providers from countries not having adequate data processing regulations, we may use specific contracts approved for use in the UK which give Personal Data the same protection it has in the UK.
  3. In any other case, we will obtain your explicit consent before any transfer takes place.

Our Partners are bound by the same UK GDPR and/or EU GDPR as we are, but partners could decide to store your data in other countries or parts of the world than we do. Retention of your Personal Data

We will keep your Personal Data as long as it is still necessary for the purpose we initially required it.

If you have not logged into the Service for longer than 18 months, we will deactivate your account and delete or anonymise any and all information related to you into our system.

In the case of the company termination or discontinuation of the Service, your Personal Data will be permanently deleted.

Your rights

You have the following rights in relation to your Personal Data:

Right of access: All data that we hold related to your Account is accessible through the App. However, you can request a copy of all Personal Data by sending us an email from the email address you use for your Fintelli account. We can only give you the data we hold ourselves. For any data that you may have shared with our Partners, you may have to request access to that data directly to them.
